Paul Powers

Paul Powers joined Raymond James in 2012 and serves as senior managing director and head of equity trading. In that role, Mr. Powers oversees high-touch cash trading, electronic trading, program trading, event-driven trading, liquidity solutions and derivatives. Prior to running all of equity trading, Mr. Powers ran equity sales trading here at Raymond James for nine years. Mr. Powers joined Raymond James from Oppenheimer & Company, where he was the head of equity trading. Prior to that, he was employed at CIBC World Markets, where he was a senior trader overseeing the financial institutions group. He graduated from Georgetown University with a bachelor’s in business administration.
