Leadership Team
As senior vice president and manager of Raymond James’ Fixed Income Department, Van Sayler is responsible for the firm’s municipal and taxable fixed income business. He joined Raymond James in 1986 as manager of the Public Finance Department and began serving in his current role in 1992. Prior to joining Raymond James, Van was first vice president of public finance for William R. Hough & Company. He spent 15 years in public finance, working on transactions ranging from water and sewer facilities to health care and housing. Van graduated with honors from Vanderbilt University in 1977 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He earned an MBA, specializing in finance, from the University of South Florida in 1981. He is licensed as a registered general securities representative, a general securities principal, a municipal securities principal, and a general securities financial and operations principal. A former member of the board of directors and executive committee of the Bond Market Association, Van now serves on the executive committee of the organization’s Municipal Committee. Van is also a board member of the Regional Bond Dealers Association. He is a past member of two subsidiary boards of Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida, and is a member of and past chairman of the board of All Children’s Hospital. In addition, he is a past member of the Juvenile Welfare Board of Pinellas County. Van and his wife, Jane, reside in St. Petersburg, Florida. |
